Mediterranean goodness!

So here's an interesting thing. It's hot and dry here. I've been walking a lot, a few km a day, for three days, and yes I'm in pain, but compared to similar activity in the UK, its almost nothing. Mostly my feet hurt from too much walking, not my hips and certainly not my back. I still get excessively tired but that is minor. I actually popped out to the shop and didn't take my stick earlier! I think we need to move country!

Car wash ouch!

Why did I decide to wash the difficult bits of the car? My wrists are agony and my hips not much better. Exhausted! Will look great once it's been through the car wash tomorrow though! Splinted and off to bed.

Parking malarkey

Yesterday, not one but two people blocked me in this parking space. One parked on the side between me and the stairs, the other on the crosshatch and the pavement. I could not get the in my car. I went back in the shop and the duty manager asked and found the people responsible and the one on the pavement refused to believe there wasn't enough room for me to open the door and get in. The lovely manager explained that the reason for the cross hatch was extra width for access (he didn't mention the pavement, that was clearly an argument for another day) and that I obviously needed it as I can't side step. I also need to open the door fully to get in and didn't want to knock a dent in their door.
Some people are monumental Bell ends.
It was the second of four times I got blocked in yesterday. The others were in Wimborne on the high street, by a delivery van "I'll only be a minute". A person pulling in to pick up a child from school, I already had my reverse lights on for that one, they were lucky I didn't flatten their offspring. And finally in Morrisons Verwood by someone "I'll only be a moment, just getting cash out"
So I have to ask, just because I'm disabled, why the fuck do I have to wait "only a minute" for you? Because it wasted a good ten of my minutes yesterday. And I am pissed off.

Georgian exhaustion

So far today I:
-got up
-got dressed
-fed the guinea pigs
-Put the washing machine on
-made a list of things I need to get done over the next three days
-Made half a bodice.
-got ready to go out
-sat down to tie my shoes and realised that I'm too fatigued and painful to continue.
-scrapped the plans for the next three hours
-Gone back to bed.

Work this evening. Need to be ready. RA sucks.

Photo is of the almost finished Georgian dress I've been working on. Need to finish the lacing. It's on the to do list.

This is why disabled parking spaces are so important, it's so the door can open wide enough to get out. People with limited mobility find it very difficult to squeeze between cars.

Gardening

I just spent half an hour in the garden. Pulled some weeds up. Aerated and and scattered some grass seed on the bald spot of the lawn. Now I hurt big time, so resting. Garden looks better, I have to do a couple of minutes every day to keep on top of it, there is no way I could really do much more. My back is not thanking me!
